The Roundabout Theatre Company just welcomed Emma Stone in her Broadway debut as 'Sally Bowles' and we've got the first photos of the new star lighting up the stage!

Dan Mendeloff, Cabaret's stage right props person, celebrated his 2,500th show at Saturday's matinee. Dan worked on the show from the start in 1998 at the Kit Kat Club/Henry Miller, moved the show to Studio 54 in 1999 and stayed with it through the entire run. He has been working on the current revival since the beginning as well.

It was like opening night all over again, as the Roundabout Theatre Company welcomed Emma Stone in her Broadway debut as 'Sally Bowles' last night on Broadway and we were there to capture her first glamorous curtain call. She joins Joe Masteroff, John Kander and Fred Ebb's Tony-winning musical Cabaret starring Alan Cumming in his Tony Award-winning role as 'Emcee.' The production is again directed by Sam Mendes and co-directed/choreographed by Rob Marshall.

The new production of Cabaret mounted by South Portland's Mad Horse Theatre together with Razer Entertainment, sizzles with tension and sears with emotion. The dark,edgy Kander-Ebb musical presented in this intimate space allows the audience identification in a manner so powerful as to make one feel he is seeing the work for the first time. Following on the heels of the hugely successful Grey Gardens, director-choreographer Raymond Marc (Ray) Dumont and the Mad Horse company have ventured for the second time this summer into musical theatre, and the results are stunning! Not only is it refreshing to hear a musical unmiked, but the fifty-seat black box allows for an experience that is up close, personal, and unsparingly gripping.

The company has just reached the landmark of 500 performances! Except for Cumming, who only played 499 and a 1/2 performances. During one of the shows, he banged his head and couldn't perform the second half. But that hasn't stopped him from celebrating!

Alan Cumming has just tweeted that he is feeling better and will be returning to the stage for tonight's preview performance of Cabaret.
