Kansas City Jazz Orchestra Executive Director Lea Petrie and Artistic Director Clint Ashlock today announced the 2022-2023 20th Anniversary Season which includes the much-anticipated performances of The Horn featuring Sean Jones and The Family featuring Lonnie and Chloe McFadden.

The Mississippi Museum of Art today announced the acquisition of works by Kristen Dorsey, Ruth Miller, and Charles Edward Williams. The three artworks individually and collectively affirm Mississippi’s position as a contemporary wellspring of creativity, originality, and resilience—each artist making compelling connections across time and place. 

There are 89 Oscar nominees, including 25 winners, among the invitees.

IFC announced today that the fourth and final season of its critically-acclaimed series Brockmire starring Hank Azaria will premiere in March 2020.  Returning for the series' final season are Amanda Peet, Tyrel Jackson Williams and Katie Finneran.  Additionally, Reina Hardesty (The Flash) has joined the series' line-up for the final eight episodes.

Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association (OGCMA) will present 'Holiday Encores' on Monday, September 3rd at 7:00 pm in the Great Auditorium. The concert will feature Organist Gordon Turk, Tenor Ronald Naldi, Bass/Baritone Kevin Short and Pianist Hugh Sung.

Director Charles Williams' Palme d'Or winning film All These Creatures shares the important story of a family dealing with mental illness and a son trying to understand it. This topical film won both the Oscar-qualifying Cannes Film Festival, only the third Australian film in history to take the prize, as well as the Oscar-qualifying Melbourne International Film Festival and is continuing its successful festival run with North American premiere at TIFF followed by UK premiere at Raindance.

The Toronto International Film Festival® today unveiled the 36 short films that make up the International portion of this year's Short Cuts programme.

The season two premiere of acclaimed IFC comedy Brockmire, starring Hank Azaria experienced strong growth - eclipsing both the season one premiere and finale in key demos - remarkable growth in this environment. Compared to the 2017 series premiere, the season two premiere grew 15% among adults 25-54 and 11% among adults 18-49 in Nielsen live+3 ratings. And compared to the season one finale of Brockmire, the season two premiere grew 24% among adults 25-54, 13% among adults 18-49 and 7% among total viewers. The season two premiere on Wednesday, April 25 also delivered 506,000 total viewers in Nielsen live+3 ratings.

IFC today announced that the iconic plaid sport coat and microphone from the original comedy series, Brockmire, starring Hank Azaria as boozy broadcaster Jim Brockmire, have been accepted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum's collection and are now on display in Cooperstown, N.Y. Produced by Funny or Die, BROCKMIRE Season 2 premieres on IFC Wednesday, April 25 at 10PM. Tyrel Jackson Williams and Amanda Peet co-star.

BROCKMIRE Renewed At IFC For Another Two Seasons

The Sarasota Film Festival (SFF) today announced its full line-up, including its Centerpiece, Spotlight, Narrative Feature Competition, Independent Visions Competition, Documentary Feature Competition, Narrative, Documentary, and Short Films. The Festival also announced its five SFF Focus Panels – Sports in Cinema, Environment, Science, and Sustainability, Women's Comedic Voices, Redefining Manhood, and Musings on Musicians.

The next presentation in Victor Tichart's concert series is titled BUILD YOUR OWN CONCERT. For this concert, the audience will have the opportunity to choose their own items for the programme.
