Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies


In the Grinnell College Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies, you can develop as an artist-scholar who learns and practices an integrated and holistic approach to making performance. You value a balance of knowing and doing, collaboration, active pedagogy, invention, multiplicity, diversity, experimentation, humane practices, and welcoming every body. Productions and performances, as well as scholarship about them, are placed at the center of what you do. Your learning in the classroom and your learning on stage build upon each other in a cycle of reciprocal advancement.
