Hockadoo! The 2010 Tony Award winning Best Musical MEMPHIS just celebrated 1,000 performances on Broadway yesterday, March 14th at the 2pm matinee performance. Memphis stars Montego Glover, Chad Kimball, Adam Pascal, Derrick Baskin, James Monroe Iglehart and John Jellison were in attendance, as well as Memphis book and music writers Joe DiPietro and David Bryan, Memphis choreographer Sergio Trujillo, and Rent's Anthony Rapp.

The 2010 Tony winning Best Musical MEMPHIS recently announced a partnership with The Great Atlantic Pacific & Tea Company (A&P) to raise money for New York-area Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Beginning July 4, 2011, customers at all A&P, Pathmark, Food Emporium, Waldbaum's, Food Basics, Super Fresh and Best Cellars stores will be asked to make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at the register. Those who donate will also receive a special discount offer for tickets to MEMPHIS on Broadway. The promotion will run through the end of July in more than 360 stores along the eastern seaboard.
