Scott Frankel was nominated for Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for his work on Grey Gardens, which ran at Playwrights Horizons before moving to Broadway. Since then, the show has been performed regularly across the country as well as internationally. Michael Korie wrote the lyrics to composer Scott Frankel's music for Grey Gardens, Far From Heaven, Doll, Happiness, Meet Mister Future, and War Paint. Their scores have been nominated for Tony and Drama Desk Awards, received The Outer Critics Circle Award, and have been produced on and off Broadway, nationally and in Europe.
