Long, Govenor of Texas, who awarded Claibe a gold coin upon his birth. Todd Haimes joined Roundabout as the Executive Director at the age of 26. From 1983 to 1990, he served in that position, overseeing the company's finances, marketing and fundraising. Mr. Haimes has been the Artistic Director of Roundabout Theatre Company since July 1, 1990, and he became the Artistic Director and CEO in 2015. Prior to joining RTC, Mr. Haimes held positions at Westport Country Playhouse and the Hartman Theatre. He is the former president and currently serves on the board of ART/NY. Julia C. Levy has more than 30 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector. She joined the Roundabout Theatre in February 1990 as Director of Development with the primary responsibility of managing the annual fundraising campaign. In her 25 years with the company, Julia has helped guide its growth from a small off-Broadway company operating one theatre to a leading not-for-profit institution with five theatres in the Broadway district. His early career was spent performing in Off-Broadway productions, including Class Enemy in 1979, for which he won a Theater World Award for outstanding stage debut. His first major Broadway credit was the ill-fated Stephen Sondheim/Hal Prince/George Furth musical Merrily We Roll Along (1981), which underwent constant changes during an unusually long preview period and closed after only sixteen performances. His next show, the Athol Fugard play "Master Harold"...and the Boys - in which he portrayed a South African student opposite Danny Glover and Zakes Mokae as the family servants - ran for eight months.
