Cleveland Arts Prize

Charles Fee has announced his retirement as Producing Artistic Director of Great Lakes Theater (GLT) in Cleveland, Idaho Shakespeare Festival (ISF) in Boise, and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival (LTSF) in Incline Village. 

Beginning May 4, 2024, Akron Art Museum will present Michelangelo Lovelace: Art Saved My Life, the first museum retrospective devoted to the artistic career of the late Michelangelo Lovelace (1960-2021). 

Cleveland Public Theatre will present the USA debut of Hanoch Levin's REQUIEM, directed by Raymond Bobgan. The play will run from March 14 to April 6, featuring a diverse cast led by Peter Lawson Jones. Learn more here!

Franz Welser-Möst announced that he will not renew his contract as Music Director of The Cleveland Orchestra beyond June 2027, when his current contract ends. By that time, he will have become the longest-serving musical leader in the ensemble's history.

The National Center for Choreography-Akron (NCCAkron) has received a $125,000 grant from the Knight Arts Akron Community Fund at The Miami Foundation, to be invested in local collaborations expanding presentation opportunities for dance with theater organizations in Akron.
