Equity actors for The MUNY's 2025 Season (See breakdown). Actors are cast on a per show basis and not as part of a repertory company. All performers are signed to an Equity MSUA contract. Actors of all ethnicities, backgrounds, gender identities, body types, and abilities for all available roles are encouraged to audition. The Muny serves a diverse, nationwide audience and strives to hire performers that reflect the diversity of our audience. This theatre exists as a safe and creative place whose mission is to enrich lives by producing exceptional musicals that are accessible to all. [CAMPBELL] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), Caucasian or any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. Our central character: truly nice and kind, sincere, who slips easily in and out of a cheerleader affect but possesses an innate intelligence. Being captain of the squad means everything to her. A leader, driven, can be easily flustered. Senior in high school. Pop/rock singer, good belt range. Range: G3-F5. Significant dance/cheerleading skills.
[BRIDGET] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. Gawky, nerdy, jolly and insecure. A bouncy optimist in spite of her perceived shortcomings. Self-effacing to a fault, she blossoms into confidence over the course of the show. Great singer with R&B and riffing skills. Range: A3-F5. Some dance/cheerleading skills.
[DANIELLE] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), Black, 18+ to play high schooler. The Queen Bee of Jackson High School, regal, dominating, complicated. Is head of a talented dance crew. Has a wicked sense of humor behind a composed mask. Loyal to her friends, can be lacerating to her enemies, but is ultimately fair. Strong belt. Range: F#3-F5. Significant dance/cheerleading skills.
[RANDALL] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. Campbell's developing love interest. Cute, alternative, an expert DJ with an easy and generous confidence. Doesn't need to be a tremendous athlete. Range: C#3-A4. Pop/rock tenor voice.
[EVA] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), Caucasian or any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. Immensely likeable, sweet, fragile-seeming Freshman who joins the Truman squad – and turns out to be a sociopathic back-stabbing climber who takes over the squad and ruins the lives of many. (But more emphasis on sweet and fragile – we shouldn't see it coming.) Pop/rock voice. Range: A3-Eb5. Significant dance/cheerleading skills.
[SKYLAR] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. A more stereotypical bitchy cheerleader type, funny, loyal to her friends, not terribly invested in her education. One of Campbell's wing-women at the beginning of the show. Range: G3-Gb5. Some dance/cheerleading skills.
[KYER] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. A slightly less-intelligent version of Skylar and a year behind her. Rather a follower, also one of Campbell's sidekicks. Range: G3-D5. Some dance/cheerleading skills.
[NAUTICA] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), Latina, Black, or any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. Outgoing, funny sidekick to Danielle; sassy, loyal, can be aggressive when called for. Good singer with R&B and bluesy chops. Range: F3-Fb5. Significant dance/cheerleading skills.
[LA CIENEGA] Character is transgender female, Latina, Black, or any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. BFFs with Nautica and Danielle. Has a wicked tongue but a generous spirit. Range: D3-E5. Some dance/cheerleading skills.
[TWIG] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), Latino, Black, or any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. A funny, well-meaning flirt who develops an instant attraction to curvaceous Bridget. Good singer with excellent hip-hop/rap skills. Range: Eb3-A4. Significant dance/cheerleading skills.
[STEVEN] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. A handsome, slightly vapid puppy-dog begins the show as Campbell's boyfriend. Easily manipulated. Means well. Good singer with great dance/cheerleading skills. Range: D3-Bb4.

SEEKING:

[DIANE & OTHERS] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), 40s — 60s, any ethnicity. Diane is a traditional divorcee from Texas, who is terrified that her son may have been flying at the time of the attacks. When she finds out he is safe, she’s given a new lease on life and discovers a wilder, more carefree side of herself. Alto belt and mix/soprano voice.
[HANNAH & OTHERS] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), 30s — 50s, Black. The mother of a firefighter in Manhattan, Hannah waits for news about her son and is comforted by Beulah. Soulful belt and mix/soprano voice.
[JANICE & OTHERS] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), 20s, any ethnicity. An eager new local TV reporter, Janice is thrown into the deep end on her first day. Initially naïve about the world, Janice must face the pain and confusion around her. Comedy skills a plus. Excellent characterful belt voice comfortable with mix/soprano.
[BOB & OTHERS] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), late 20s — 30s, Black. A hardened New Yorker, Bob is suspicious of where he’s landed, fearing that someone will take advantage of him – but instead he ends up losing his New York jadedness. Baritone.
[KEVIN J. & OTHERS] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 20s — 40s, MENASA, Asian, Latinx/Hispanic, Black, Indigenous or any ethnicity. Kevin T’s boyfriend and secretary. Sarcastic and unhappy, he wants to leave and get back to the U.S. as soon as possible. Doubles as ALI, an Egyptian passenger. Excellent rich baritenor/tenor 2 voice.
[KEVIN T. & OTHERS] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 20s — mid 50s, any ethnicity. The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles, Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary, also named Kevin), when they are stranded in Gander. Inspired by the town’s generosity, Kevin searches for greater meaning and ways to give back. Doubles as GARTH, head of the local union representing the bus drivers. Excellent tenor voice.
[NICK & OTHERS] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 40s — 60s, any ethnicity. An English oil engineer who is focused on his work, Nick’s life is turned upside down when he falls for another passenger, Diane. Doubles as DOUG, an air traffic controller and husband to Bonnie. Characterful baritenor or tenor voice.
[BEVERLEY & OTHERS] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), 30s — 40s, any ethnicity. An American Airlines pilot, Beverley has always loved flying, but her world is changed when she hears about coworkers who were killed in the attacks, and when she is confronted by passengers who refuse to fly again. Excellent singer with a high mix/belt and soprano voice.
[BONNIE & OTHERS] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), 30s — 50s, any ethnicity. A no-nonsense mother of 3, Bonnie is the head of the Gander area SPCA. When she discovers animals are trapped on the planes, she stops at nothing to ensure their safety – but in frustration, she sometimes lashes out at her husband, Doug. Excellent singer with a strong alto/2nd soprano voice.
[CLAUDE & OTHERS] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 30s — 60s, any ethnicity. The gregarious and well-liked Mayor of Gander, Newfoundland, Claude loves his work, the townspeople, and his daily traditions, but he’s never before had to deal with a crisis of this magnitude. Doubles as DERM, mayor of the nearby town of Appleton. Rich, characterful baritone voice.
[OZ & OTHERS] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 20s — 50s, any ethnicity. The quirky constable in the two-person Gander police force. When the town’s population suddenly doubles, Oz helps out in unexpected ways. Doubles as JOEY, a rambunctious passenger on one of the planes who enjoys a good drink. Excellent pop tenor voice.
[BEULAH & OTHERS] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), 30s — 60s, any ethnicity. Head of the Gander Legion, with a firefighter son, she befriends Hannah, walking to church and praying with her, while overcoming her suspicions of Ali. Quick-witted and open-hearted, Beulah loves to share a joke. Excellent singer with an alto/belt with a mix voice.

DISNEY’S FROZEN

SEEKING:

[ELSA] 20s – Reserved and hesitant, yet inherently regal, Elsa makes a stunning new Queen of Arendelle. However, she has been trained for over a decade to fear and hide her magical powers. Strong belter.

[ANNA] late teens/20s – Optimistic, enthusiastic, and slightly disheveled Princess of Arendelle. Naturally funny and courageously fearless, her greatest flaw – and her greatest strength – is her faith in love. Strong belter with soprano/mix.

[KRISTOFF] 20s – A human orphan raised by Hidden Folk in the forest, Kristoff is a self-reliant ice seller & Mountain Man whose best friend is a reindeer, for whom he provides a voice so they can have conversations. Kristoff is naturally warm with a good heart, although he’s circumspect about Anna and her mountaintop mission. Baritenor.

[HANS] 20s – The youngest of thirteen brothers, Prince Hans of the Southern Isles is a real charmer – as handsome as handsome gets. Anna falls for his open wittiness on the spot – he gets her. Tenor.

[OLAF] 20s – A big-voiced snowman created by Elsa’s magic, Olaf is pure innocence, completely content to be anywhere, doing anything. Great singer.

[WESELTON] 40s - 50s – A chauvinistic, intolerant diplomat, the Duke of Weselton seeks any opportunity to get ahead. He seizes on Elsa’s “accident” to spread fear and discredit the entire royal family of Arendelle. Short (under 5’7”) Baritone.

[SVEN] The lovable reindeer & sidekick to Kristoff. Funny, inquisitive and intuitive. Dancers/Acrobats with strong upper body and core strength and stamina to operate a full body puppet. Height minimum 5’10” max 6’2”.

[PABBIE] 30s - 40s – Wise, mysterious, charismatic and gentle patriarch of the Hidden Folk. Baritone. Tall, muscular, striking, statuesque. Strong dancer with partnering ability.

[YOUNG ELSA] 11 years old – Bright, poised, elder princess of Arendelle who adores her younger sister. She aims to be a perfect daughter, but wrestles with a dangerous talent. Soprano. MAXIMUM HEIGHT 56 (4'8).

[YOUNG ANNA] 8 years old – Energetic, free-spirited younger princess of Arendelle who dotes on every word and movement of Elsa. She is heartbroken when she is isolated from Elsa by their parents. Soprano. MAXIMUM HEIGHT 51 (4'3).

[OAKEN] 40s - Fun loving, teddy-bear, family-man proprietor of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna. Tenor.

EVITA

SEEKING:

[EVA] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), Argentinian, mid 20s – early 30s. Moving from actress to wife of Juan Peron (President of Argentina), the ambitious and charismatic Eva becomes a propaganda mouthpiece offering the people a vision of the future where the rich pay for the poor. By the age of 26, Eva is a folk heroine in her own right, a St. Joan for Argentina who hopes to be remembered long after she dies. An amazing singing voice and strong dance ability with a period look. Able to display pain, sympathy, anger, wit, and real authority all in equal measure with many other emotions thrown in. Strong mixed belt.

[CHE] Character is male (cis, trans, non-binary), Latine, early 20s – mid 30s. The show’s narrator, he provides the case for the prosecution, mocking both the deluded public and Eva herself as a woman and politician. Able to relate to the audience and take them with him on the dramatic journey of the piece. Strong dance and singing ability. Able to offer an extraordinary range of versatility to take on the Everyman nature of the part. Rock tenor.

[PERON] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), Argentinian, 40s – 50s. The President of Argentina. Man of the people. An impressive, charismatic politician who brings all the trappings of power with him. Authoritative, persuasive, and charming. Able to sing, move, and provide a strong sense of authority on stage. Strong baritone.

[MAGALDI] Character is male (cis, trans, non-binary), Argentinian, 30s – 40s. A tango singer with whom Eva has her first love affair. Charming loser – never quite made it. Has the first number in the show (“On This Night of a Thousand Stars”) and sets up the world in which Eva exists. Also appears in the ensemble. Strong high baritone or tenor.

[MISTRESS] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), Argentinian, 18 – early 20s. Juan Peron’s Mistress who is pushed out of Peron’s life by his future wife, Eva. The Mistress ponders the rejection in a big number, “Another Suitcase in Another Hall.” Beautiful, period, fragile, vulnerable. Also appears in the ensemble. Powerful contemporary mix voice. Featured Ensemble Role.

DEAR EVAN HANSEN

[EVAN HANSEN] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. Pop Tenor G2-B4 (Bottom G to top B). Smart, sincere, and excruciatingly self-conscious, Evan prefers to hover in the background, a supporting player in his own life, too afraid to step forward into the spotlight and risk ridicule or, what might be worse, no one noticing him at all.

[ZOE MURPHY] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. Pop Soprano F3-E5 (Bottom F to E two above middle C). Sensitive and sophisticated, with a sharp sense of humor, Zoe could care less about the status games and popularity rites of high school. She feels a terrible ambivalence over her brother’s death.

[ALANA BECK] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. Pop Soprano F3-E5 (Bottom F to E two above middle C). Earnest to a fault, prone to melodrama, Alana hides a deeper loneliness beneath an ever-present smile and an almost aggressive friendliness.

[CONNOR MURPHY] Character is male (cis, trans, non-binary), any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. Pop Bari/Tenor G2-G4 (Bottom G to Top G). An angry, disaffected loner, Connor has been a troubled kid for as long as anyone can remember, an enigma and a source of endless consternation to his long-suffering parents.

[JARED KLEINMAN] Character is male (cis, trans, non-binary), any ethnicity, 18+ to play high schooler. Pop Tenor A2-B4 (Bottom A to top B). Droll and sarcastic, Jared covers his own insecurities with a well-practiced swagger and a know-it-all arrogance. He loves being a disruptor.

[HEIDI HANSEN] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), any ethnicity, 40s. Pop Alto F3-Eb5 (belt). Evan’s mother. Overworked and stretched too thin, Heidi loves her son fiercely, but fears they have begun to grow apart. Though often distracted by a deep desire to provide a good life for Evan, she is prepared to do anything to repair the damage.

[CYNTHIA MURPHY] Character is female (cis, trans, or non-binary), any ethnicity, 40s. Pop Soprano F#3-E5 (belt). Connor and Zoe’s mother. To Evan, she seems to be the perfect mother, nurturing, available, and willing to talk about anything. To her own children, it’s a bit more complicated.

[LARRY MURPHY] Character is male (cis, trans, non-binary), any ethnicity, 40s. Pop Bari/Tenor F#2- The MUNY 2025 Season - St. Louis, MO EPA Page 9 of 12

G4. Connor and Zoe’s father. Though often tense and taciturn, Larry shows a different face to the world, representing for Evan the dad he always wished for: strong, confident, and more than anything, reliable, someone to be counted on.

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES

SEEKING:

[ALBIN/ZAZA] Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity, 45-60. Vocal Range: Baritone A#2-G4. The charismatic, overly dramatic, and dynamic personality in the long term relationship with Georges; his alter ego is Zaza, the star of the Folles and a force to be reckoned with when crossed, but his love of family and his ability to entertain makes him a most beloved friend, confidant, and mother; star quality who is mature and possesses a great powerhouse of a Broadway voice; comedic.

[GEORGES] Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity, 50s. Vocal Range: Baritone G2-F4. A show-man and emcee of the nightclub; suave, debonair, very personable, and madly in love with his partner of 20+ years, Albin; adores his son and would move mountains to give him anything he wants; very attractive, moves well, energetic, and a kind and loving man.

[JEAN-MICHEL] Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity, 20. Vocal Range: Bari Tenor, A#2-G4. A handsome masculine, well-mannered, educated guy desperately in love with his fiancé; appears innocent enough that his actions of offending his fathers does not seem calculated, but a misstep initiated by his fear of losing Anne; must move well.

[JACOB] Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity, early 20s. Vocal Range: Bb2-Ab4. The butler/maid with a flair for the ridiculous; campy, over the top; aspires to be on the stage, full of zest; very protective of his extended family; A brilliant comic who sings and moves well.

[ANNE] Character is female (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity, 18-21. Vocal Range: Flexible. Jean-Michel’s fiancée; lovely to look at; spunky; a superb dancer.

[M. EDOUARD DINDON] Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity, 50s. Vocal Range: Bb2-Eb4. Anne's father; a very conservative, right wing radical politician; very opinionated and bigoted; pompous and quirky with a great sense of comic timing.

[MS. MARIE DINDON] Character is female (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity, 40-50s. Vocal Range: F4-A5. Anne's mother; the quiet wife; always in her husband's shadow; rarely asked to voice an opinion; sexually repressed and sex starved; conservative but appears in a leotard at end of show; a great sense of comedy who can move well.

[JACQUELINE] Character is female (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity, 40-50s. Vocal Range: B3-F5. The hostess of the top restaurant in the town; has the ability to make anyone feel like they are part of her family; very theatrical; loves people and especially enjoys bringing people out of their shell; can light up the room.

[FRANCIS] Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity, 40s. Vocal Range: Flexible. Male-presenting stage manager in Georges’ club; strong actor/dancer.

JERSEY BOYS

[FRANKIE VALLI] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 20s — early 30s. Must be 5’9” or shorter. Strong tenor to high A or Bb plus sweet but strong falsetto up to treble G and is able to sing in the style of Frankie Valli. Charismatic, charming and scrappy. Vulnerable with a gritty side as well as a polished veneer. Proficient with narrative text and very comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies.

[BOB GAUDIO] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 20s — early 30s. Preferably tall. Strong tenor/Bari-tenor voice, has a strong high G. Very comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies. Also comfortable with narrative text. Bob is an intelligent, sensitive, proud and introspective musical prodigy.

[TOMMY DE VITO] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 20s — early 30s. Strong tenor/Bari tenor voice. Very comfortable with narrative text and traditional four-part harmonies. Tommy has a real ease to him, a natural-born leader with an appealing, bad-boy quality.

[NICK MASSI] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 20s — early 30s. Strong bass/baritone voice, low E would be an asset. Very comfortable with narrative text and traditional four-part harmonies. Nick is a quiet dreamer who longs for life after The Four Seasons.

[GYP DECARLO & OTHERS] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 45 — 55. Tough, boss type, funny. A strong singer.

[BOB CREWE & OTHERS] Character is male (cis, trans, or non-binary), 35 — 45. A genius music producer and lyricist. An integral part of creating the magic of the Four Seasons. Bob is good-natured and stubborn. Has comic chops.
