Creative Nations will present its inaugural First Storyteller's Festival from September 30th to October 6th, showcasing works from Indigenous playwrights. On October 3rd, Voices of Change: First Storytellers features a discussion with playwrights about the unique challenges faced in telling Native American stories. The festival will also stage selected works including New Year’s Purun by Justin P. Lopez, The Counting of the Heads by Steve Callahan, and Savage: The Unconquerable Wanda Savage by Nicolette Blount, among others. This event aims to foster community and support for Indigenous artists while highlighting the diverse narratives within Native storytelling.
