Creative Nations will showcase its inaugural First Storyteller's Festival from September 30th to October 6th, highlighting the work of Indigenous artists. The festival features a range of performances, including a reading of Savage, with a book by Nicolette Blount and Lindel Hart, and directed by Ashlyn Barnett and Ben Stasny. The cast includes Autumn Silvas as Wanda Savage, Ellen Shamas-Brandt as Homahota, and Teddy McCullough as Paul, among others. Other productions at the festival include The Counting Heads and Embers Bourne West, each featuring a talented ensemble of Indigenous performers.
