INTO THE BREECHES!.. a laugh out loud love letter to theater. The Barnstable Comedy Club, located at 3171 Main Street in Barnstable, MA proudly presents INTO THE BREECHES!, a heart-warming comedy by George Brant. Under the direction of Stephen Lajoie, the show opens on January 9 at 7:30 PM and continues through January 26 with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 2:30 PM. General admission tickets are $25/$23 for seniors 65+ and for students. Tickets are available online at www.barnstablecomedyclub.org or reserved by calling the box office at 508-362-6333. INTO THE BREECHES! comes to life with a very talented and funny cast of well-seasoned Cape Cod actors that include Janet Geist Moore, Liz Liuzzi, Sandy Basile, Marcus Liuzzi, Frank Hughes, Jr., Amy E. Cole, Amie McFarlane and Emma Miles. That time-honored adage, “The Show Must Go On,” takes on new meaning in this endearing and moving modern comedy set at a small American playhouse in 1942. With the actors and director off at war, a group of passionate women face the daunting challenge of preserving the theater’s reputation for mounting outstanding Shakespearean productions. Crammed with laughs and an abundance of visual humor, their fierce determination and unbridled enthusiasm will have audiences cheering as they prove that art and community triumph, even in times of peril. This is a charming, disarmingly entertaining play filled with humor, history and social commentary.
Barnstable Comedy Club is at 3171 Main Street, Barnstable, MA.
