Join the celebrated 50 man Alexandria Harmonizers chorus and other top a cappella groups on September 9 for an anniversary show 75 years in the making. The concert will run from 7-9:30 and highlight the musical excellence which has propelled the Harmonizers to international appearances at 2014 D-Day ceremonies in Normandy, the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to prestigous national venues including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, and locally in 2018 to receive the Greater D.C. Area Choral Excellence “Ovation” award for Best A Cappella Ensemble. The show will feature chorus favorites, songs from Broadway's "Wicked" and "West Side Story," and new, custom arrangements. We are also pleased to welcome to the stage our newest ensemble, Metro Voices, as well as gold medal winning quartets Max Q and Ringmasters! Tickets at the door or at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/this-is-why-we-sing-a-75th-anniversary-celebration-tickets-638279760947?aff=oddtdtcreator The Harmonizers gratefully acknowledge partial support for this event from the Alexandria Commission for the Arts; and from the Virginia Commission for the Arts, which receives support from the Virginia General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
