Constellation Theatre Company concludes its 17th Season with Is God Is, winner of the 2019 Helen Merrill Playwriting Award, 2017 OBIE Award for playwriting, 2016 winner of the American Playwriting Foundation’s Relentless Award, and finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.

Written by Aleshea Harris, the unique work crafts a contemporary myth about twin sisters who sojourn from the “Dirty South” to the California desert to exact righteous revenge. Music and rhythm play crucial roles in the production’s execution as Is God Is fuses ancient tragedy, hip-hop, and Afropunk to craft a darkly funny and unapologetically fierce adventure story about family and justice.

In this fierce and funny drama, follow impassioned twin sisters as they go on an epic adventure across America to exact righteous revenge on the man who betrayed their family.
