Profiles host Mickey Burns interviews singer and actress Lea Salonga, well known for starring in the lead role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon - for which she won Outer Critics, Drama Desk and Tony awards. A native of the Phillipines, Lea is also the first Asian actress to play the roles of Eponine and Fantine in the musical Les Miserables on Broadway and in concert.
Lea Salonga began her singing career at age ten, when she recorded her first album. She soon flourished on Broadway and would later provide the singing voices of two Disney Princesses, Jasmine from Aladdin and Mulan. She was named a "Disney Legend" in 2011 for her work with the company.
