The entire play takes place in two adjoining flats, C and D. D flat is newly occupied by Edgar Brophy who is on the verge of leaving his wife and doesn't know which way to turn. His "friend" Marylin, is supporting him in any way she can. C flat has long been occupied by the Maestro, who loves to conduct his "orchestra" twice a day.
This lovable cast of characters are there to support one another through the good times and the bad. Mrs. Phillips looks over them all, just like a mother would. While there are no revolving doors, there is plenty of door slamming action to keep you wondering who is talking to whom and why.
