Directed by Kevin Commins, Almost, Maine is a romantic comedy consisting of two-character playlets that create a mosaic image of a small, remote, definitely quirky town in Maine. Almost, Maine is a town that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States—it’s almost in Canada. And it almost doesn’t exist, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it’s just…almost. Each scene centers around the search for love. Some are wildly comic, some poignant, some joyous, some bittersweet.
