The beloved baroque Christmas Eve mass by Marc-André Charpentier, and old Spanish carols from Latin America offer a beautiful start to the Christmas season. Laurie Evan Fraser conducts the 40-voice Upper Canada Choristers and their Latin ensemble Cantemos, with flutist Laurel Trainor as guest soloist, and Hye Won Cecilia Lee at the piano. Among other delights, the choir will perform a medley of Christmas favourites arranged by young composer Dan Forrest, and his original composition, Carol of Joy. The audience is also invited to sing some favorite carols.
