Dangerous Liaisons, adapted by Christopher Hampton from Choderlos de Laclos' novel, is set in pre-Revolutionary France and follows the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont as they engage in a dangerous game of seduction targeting two virtuous women. As their manipulations intensify, their motives become more complex and lethal, leading to unforeseen consequences. Directed by Esther Jun, this production marks the second time Dangerous Liaisons will be staged at the Stratford Festival, following its acclaimed debut in 2010.
