The dancer-illusionists of MOMIX wowed St. Louis audiences when Dance St. Louis presented their Botanica at the Touhill in April. Back by popular demand, this fantasy spectacle returns in a one-night-only encore performance!
With a parade of hypnotic images that flow across the stage in scene after dazzling scene, Botanica celebrates the glory and mystery of Nature. Dancers become frolicking sunflowers, flying birds, rippling clouds, winter storms, the rays of the sun and more.
MOMIX creator and Pilobolus co-founder Moses Pendleton creates a trip through a magical garden by combining props, puppets, projections, costumes, light, sensuous choreography, and fabulous acrobatic feats. “Miraculously nimble dancers in a childlike theater of marvels” (New York Times).
Presented by Dance St. Louis and the Touhill in cooperation with the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
