PRETTY LIGHTS is the musical vision of Colorado based electronic hip hop artist Derek Vincent Smith. The cutting-edge party rocking beats fill American music festivals such as Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo with energy and emotion. The music is a product of digital sampling and crosses many genres, forming a combination of hip hop, vintage funk and soul samples, sometimes grime. The name PRETTY LIGHTS comes from a Pink Floyd concert poster that read “Come and watch the pretty lights!” PRETTY LIGHTS is following up on a nonstop 2011 summer festival schedule with an even more extensive Fall tour. Along with new music, the already majorly stepped up stage production of the tour, which was debuted at Bonnaroo in June, has continued to evolve, becoming more sophisticated, synchronized, and stimulating. The massive 3D on stage LED city and out of this world light show will leave longtime fans and first timers alike speechless and mesmerized.
