San Diego Junior Theatre, with a mission to provide engaging, innovative, high-quality theatre education and productions for children of all cultural heritages, ages, abilities and levels of interest continues its 70th Anniversary Season with a production of Mr. Popper's Penguins, directed by Ricardo Valenzuela. Mr. Popper's Penguins is based on the novel by Richard and Florence Atwater. Books and Lyrics are by Jody Davidson and music by Brett Schrier. The production will showcase the work of San Diego Junior Theatre youth performers and youth technicians, ranging in age from 8 to18. The production runs from June 29th - July 15th.

Based on the hit 1990 romantic drama film of the same name, GHOST, a timeless fantasy about the power of love, had its Brazilian premiere at Teatro Bradesco in Sao Paulo. The plot centers on lovers Sam and Molly, who are attacked as they are returning to their apartment. When Sam dies he becomes caught between the real world and the next. Molly is in danger and Sam cannot leave her. A phony storefront medium, Oda Mae Brown, helps Sam to get in touch with Molly to warn her.
Cortland Repertory Theatre kicks off their 44th season at the Little York Pavilion in Preble with the theatre's premiere production of the hysterical new comedy Always a Bridesmaid, written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten.
