Opening night of the first play of the Shoreside's Auckland Shakespeare in the Park - and it's a clever comedy, its controversy eloquently driven by polarised emotions: friendship, revenge, love, hate, justice, mercy. Whether this is your first time or another of many viewings, there is much to surprise, engage and amuse you in the superb and imaginative direction by the director, Trevor Sharpe. Shakespeare meant his audiences to be addressed directly and to feel as if the thoughts being spoken, are being spoken immediately and spontaneously to us. His text is dialogue not poetry.

Smith and Brant Theatricals and Ambassador Theatre Group Productions are presenting a new production of Fatal Attraction. Kym Marsh (ITV’s Coronation Street) will perform the iconic role of Alex Forrest, Oliver Farnworth (ITV’s Coronation Street) her lover, Dan Gallagher and Susie Amy (ITV’s Footballers’ Wives) his wife, Beth.

Production images are released today for the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre’s 2021 pantomime Aladdin, written by Vikki Stone and directed by Abigail Graham, ahead of opening night on 27 November.

 This winter, The Hope Theatre – the acclaimed 50 seat pub theatre in the heart of Islington - will present the world stage premiere of 21 Round For Christmas by Matthew Ballantyne and Toby Hampton.
