Asolo Rep proudly presents the final production of its 2016-17 season: TWENTY THOUSAND LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA, the stunning new theatrical re-imagination of Jules Verne's classic deep sea tale created by Craig Francis and Rick Miller, who will direct the production, presented by Canada's family-focused entertainment production company Kidoons and WYRD Productions and produced by Jeff Lord. TWENTY THOUSAND LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA comes to life on stage by way of visually striking multimedia storytelling, with vivid projections that will take the audience on the voyage of a lifetime. Previews are Wednesday, June 7 and Thursday, June 8 at 7pm, opening night is Friday, June 9 at 7pm and the production runs through Saturday, July 1 in the Mertz Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

Panic! Productions closes its 2016-2017 season with a fresh take on the crowd-pleasing musical, "Little Shop of Horrors," June 2 through 18, at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts in Thousand Oaks. The Alan Menken-Harold Ashman ("Beauty and the Beast," "The Little Mermaid") musical will be directed by J. J. Bailey Burcham, hot off his searing, critically-acclaimed lead performance in Panic! Productions' mounting of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea at Theatre 68, has signed on as director of Panic!'s next show, Little Shop of Horrors. Burcham will put his stamp on the Menken-Ashman musical favorite by updating the action to Los Angeles' Skid Row in the 1990s. Helping Burcham bring this fresh concept to life are choreographer Tyler Matthew Burk, music director Josh Bednarsky, set designer Rei Yamamoto, lighting designer Shara Abvabi, and costume designer Barbara Mazeika.
