(ISC), presenters of the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival and recipients of the 2015 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in theater, announce the debut of a new works reading series, iambic lab, presented Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13 at 7:30pm and Sunday, February 14 at 2pm at Independent Studio in the Atwater Crossing Arts + Innovation Complex, 3191 Casitas Ave., #168 in Atwater Village.

Christina Cole (The Magistrate, The Lightening Play), Jennifer Mudge (Into The Woods, Dutchman) and Lloyd Owen (Good People, The Bodyguard) join internationally acclaimed actor Matthew Perry (Friends, The Odd Couple) to complete the cast in the World Premiere of his playwriting debut, The End of Longing, at the Playhouse Theatre, London, from 2 February - 14 May 2016. Preempted by the holiday favorite, the National Dog Show, the Black Eyes Bar crew will be back with an all-new live episode next Friday; well, actually two all-new episodes, since the UNDATEABLE gang performs each episode twice, once live for the East Coast, and again live for the West Coast. One of the joys of my Monday morning is watching both versions back-to-back on Hulu to see what jokes were added for the second broadcast.

Shakespeare Dallas Announces 2016 Season

?The fringed curtains of thine eye advance and will look upon the 2016 season of Shakespeare in the Park by Shakespeare Dallas. The 2016 season features two classic Shakespeare plays, Richard III and The Tempest, as well as She Stoops to Conquer, by the comedic Irish playwright, Oliver Goldsmith. Prior to the season's opening in June, general auditions will be held Jan. 23-24. The performances of the popular outdoor theater series will take place at Samuell Grand Amphitheater, 1500 Tenison Parkway in Dallas and at Addison Circle Park, 4970 Addison Circle, in Addison, and is expected to draw crowds totaling 50,000 individuals every summer and fall.
