TURN OF THE SCREW Opens at the Almeida Theatre, January 24

Lindsay Posner directs Rebecca Lenkiewicz' new stage adaptation of Henry James' The Turn of the Screw at the Almeida Theatre which runs until 16 March 2013, with press night on 24 January. The cast comprises Caroline Bartleet (a woman), Laurence Belcher (Miles), Eoin Geoghegan (a man), Gemma Jones (Mrs. Grose), Anna Madeley (The Governess), Orlando Wells (Sackville) and Isabella Blake, Emilia Jones and Lucy Morton who will alternate the role of Flora. The Turn of the Screw is sponsored by Pinsent Masons LLP.

Vassar Drama Department Presents LYSISTRATA, 12/6-8

The Vassar Drama department will present three performances of Aristophanes' comedic satire about war and sex, Lysistrata, directed by guest artist Ianthe Demos, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, December 6, 7, and 8, at 8:00pm, in the Martel Theater of the Vogelstein Center for Drama and Film. Demos, a 2000 Vassar graduate, co-founded the critically acclaimed One Year Lease theater company (OYL) in 2001 and their work has been widely praised by the New York Times and New York magazine among other outlets. Reservations are required for these free public performances, and can be made by calling the Drama department box office at (845) 437-5599 or emailing boxoffice@vassar.edu.
