Kinky Boots plays The Buell Theatre today, October 29-November 9 only.

KINKY BOOTS is heading to South Korea! This will be the first international production of the Tony-winning musical. The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (BID) has announced that Tony Award winner Billy Porter, star of the hit Broadway show Kinky Boots, will join as the emcee for the 15th Annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square, New York's largest outdoor holiday festival, which is set for Monday, December 1st from 5:30PM - 9:00PM! The night will kick-off with a special performance from Kinky Boots on the main stage at Dante Park (Broadway & 63rd Street). Headlining the main stage this year is a Winter's Eve favorite, folk legend Arlo Guthrie. This annual holiday festival will feature 20 live performance areas and over 30 restaurants offering savory samples of signature dishes.

Like its composer, KINKY BOOTS is so unusual. Meticulously derivative, yet passingly original.

On Monday, September 8th the Theater People Podcast welcomes the multi-talented Ellyn Marie Marsh. The 11-day run marks the launch of the musical's national tour. A hit on Broadway, the highly popular show has created much anticipation for a touring production. Kinky Boots will be the first Broadway show to launch a national tour in Las Vegas, which is a dazzling fit.

KINKY BOOTS book-writer Harvey Fierstein was recently challenged to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge by KINKY BOOTS composer/lyricist Cyndi Lauper. Not surprisingly, he received a cold surprise when trying to respectfully decline.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, KINKY BOOTS will soon be strutting its high-heeled stuff in the West End. Now, the Daily Mail writes that the musical's producers are in talks with the Palace Theatre for an opening in late spring 2015.
