National Theatre Appoints Alastair Coomer CDG As Head Of Casting The National Theatre has appointed Alastair Coomer CDG as its new Head of Casting. Previously Casting Director at the Donmar Warehouse, Alastair has cast a diverse range of productions at the Donmar including: The Weir, Coriolanus, My Night with Reg, Privacy, City of Angels, The Vote, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Faith Healer, St Joan, Limehouse and Belleville.

Sonia Friedman Productions, Neal Street Productions and Royal Court Theatre Productions today release brand new images of Jez Butterworth's The Ferryman featuring the new cast, marking their first week of performances in the West End.

Director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Samuel Hodges, today announces the full cast for the company's inaugural production at NST City the world premi re of Howard Brenton's The Shadow Factory, which Hodges directs. Veteran of stage and screen Anita Dobson joins the cast as Lady Cooper/Ma (Wicked, Apollo Victoria Theatre; The Merry Wives of Windsor, RSC; Frozen, National Theatre) along with Shala Nyx who plays Polly. Dobson, known for playing the iconic role of Angie Watts in EastEnders, and Nyx join David Birrell (Fred/Hugh), Catherine Cusack (Lil/Sylvia), Lorna Fitzgerald (Jackie Dimmock), Hilton McRae (Lord Beaverbrook) and Daniel York (Len Gooch) to complete the company. The Shadow Factory opens on 15 February, with previews from 7 February, and runs until 3 March.

The International Emmy Award-winning, all-male dance company BalletBoyz are set to return to London's Sadler's Wells this autumn for the world premiere of their new show Fourteen Days before embarking on tour across the UK. The new work from the recent Rose d'Or winners has been created by four internationally celebrated choreographers, alongside four eminent and completely different composers, the new work comprises of four short pieces, and will run alongside their previously acclaimed Fallen. A coproduction with Sadler's Wells where BalletBoyz are an Associate Artist, and in association with artsdepot, Fourteen Days runs from 10th 14th October at Sadler's Wells with an Opening Night on Tuesday 10th October.
