Hardscrabble Theater is proud to announce that it will be taking part in the Village of Farmingdale's Cultural Arts Festival this year. We will be presenting a recreation of a live radio comedy from the 1940's: Fanny Brice's 'Baby Snooks and Daddy: The Ugly Duckling'.
Inspired by the prolific author and writer Hans Christian Andersen and reimagined and presented by 2Faced Dance Company, What the Moon Saw is a new interactive dance and circus show suitable for very young children, their families, teachers and friends.

The character formerly known as Sleeping Beauty wakes up in a world where warts are in fashion … and she has them. While she's en vogue, she can't wrap her brain around this drastic change, nor can anyone around her. "Sleeping Ugly," as she has renamed herself, flees her village and bumps into the Ugly Duckling, who, like Sleeping Beauty/Ugly, is the subject of bullying for his appearance. The two become fast friends.

On January 30, 2017, Atlanta's Synchronicity Theatre launched a test-run of Stripped Bare, a new arts incubator project that gives artists a space to create and produce new work. Designed for early-career artists, Stripped Bare focuses on projects that emphasize words and ideas, with minimal technical elements. For this first year, the program was available by invitation only. Invitations were sent to Atlanta-based artists who had at least one paid professional credit, but had not originated or created more than five professional projects. They were asked to submit proposals. Two winning projects were selected:
