But now, a group of award winning stage actors are preparing a new-take on a story of fear and love. On a cloudy day at Texas A&M University, in a ballroom, beautiful music drifts across the air. The students of the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education will present the world premiere ofA Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens December 7-9 in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre.
A Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens is based on the beloved children's book, A Ghost Tale For Christmas Time, by bestselling local author Mary Pope Osborne! Jack and Annie are whisked back in time to Victorian England and the foggy streets of London where they discover that Charles Dickens is haunted by sad memories and has vowed never to write another book. With a bit of magic and the help of three ghosts, the kids are able to inspire Mr. Dickens to write his most beloved tale: A Christmas Carol!

Following the screening, Kellerman will talk about the making of this groundbreaking film in a discussion moderated by Emory professor Eddy von Mueller. A VIP champagne brunch follows at Apres Diem.

For the first time in the history of the Burke Museum, seven different First Nations will gather for a contemporary music and performance event. On November 20th at 7:30 pm, the Burke will showcase 'Tribute to the Spirit: Little Big Band' at Meany Hall. 'Tribute' is a gathering of Native American performers, coming together to commemorate the end of the 100th Anniversary year of the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition (A-Y-P).
