The 30th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) will present Olivia Colman with the Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actress for The Favourite at its annual Film Awards Gala. The award will be presented by her co-star in the film Emma Stone. The Film Awards Gala, hosted by Mary Hart and Entertainment Tonight, and presented by American Express, will be held on Thursday, January 3 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The Festival runs January 3-14.   

BroadwayCon has announced the Tony Award-winning Harry Potter and the Cursed Child cast has joined the BroadwayCon 2019 lineup. James Williams directs Miiya Alexandra (Liesel), Charlotte Clitherow (Fairy Fullobeans/Giant), Terence Frisch (Dame Trott), Oliver Longstaff (Jack Trott), Jill McAusland (Nightshade), Walter van Dyk (Herr Brush) and Marc Zayat (MooMoo). Up In Arms, in association with Pleasance and Ellie Keel, today announce the full cast for the world premiere of Annie Jenkins' In Lipstick. Alice Hamilton directs James Doherty (Dennis), Caroline Faber (Maud), and Alice Sykes (Cynthia). This marks the first collaboration of James Doherty and Alice Hamilton since their acclaimed multi-award-nominated work on Barney Norris' Eventide. In Lipstick opens at Pleasance, Islington on 11 January, with previews from 9 January, and runs until 26 January.

A 1930s comedy for Christmas, Jeannie by rediscovered female playwright Aimee Stuart will open at the Finborough Theatre for a four-week limited season on Tuesday, 27 November 2018 (Press Nights: Thursday, 29 November and Friday, 30 November 2018 at 7.30pm).
