You won't need a magic lamp to discover a whole new world on Broadway.  Disney’s Aladdin,  brings the beloved animated film to dazzling life on stage. Now in its ninth year on Broadway, Aladdin whisks audiences away on a high adventure filled with romance, laughter, and unforgettable spectacle.

What’s the story? Aladdin is a lovable street rat with big dreams, who stumbles upon a magical lamp and a larger-than-life Genie who can grant three wishes. With his newfound power, Aladdin seeks to win the heart of Princess Jasmine and defeat the scheming Jafar, embarking on a whirlwind journey of self-discovery along the way. 

Since its opened on Broadway on March 20, 2014, Aladdin has enchanted critics and audiences alike, earning a Tony Award for ‘Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical’ for James Monroe Iglehart's portrayal of the Genie. 

The show also received nominations for ‘Best Musical,’ ‘Best Book of a Musical,’ and ‘Best Original Score,’ along with a Grammy nomination for ‘Best Musical Theater Album.’ Its colorful set designs, lavish costumes, and incredible staging have made Aladdin a visually stunning experience that leaves audiences in awe. And did we mention the magic carpet...?

Featuring timeless songs from the original film like “A Whole New World,” “Friend Like Me,” and “Prince Ali,” plus new songs written by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, Tim Rice, and Chad Beguelin, Aladdin enchants theatergoers of all ages and brings Agrabah to life in a way that only Broadway can.

Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, Aladdin first found success in Toronto before transferring to Broadway, where it has continued to captivate audiences from around the world. ALADDIN Extends Carpet Ride in Chicago Into Fall; Tickets on Sale Next Month!

Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway In Chicago announced today that, due to popular demand, the eagerly-anticipated North American tour of Disney's Aladdin will extend its stay in Chicago at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph Street) through September 10, 2017.

Nathan Lucrezio, currently in the cast of Broadway's Aladdin, recently posted a YouTube video in which he mashed up some of his favorite songs. 'Waving Through a Window' from Dear Evan Hansen is at the spine of the mashup, which also includes 'Ordinary Girl' and 'A Thousand Miles' both by Vanessa Carlton, 'No Day But Today' from Rent, and 'Just Another Day' from Next to Normal. Lucrezio called upon some of his friends, Caroline Bowman (Wicked), Samantha Massell (Fiddler On the Roof), Trent Saunders (Aladdin), and Angelo Soriano (Aladdin) to create the video.

James Monroe Iglehart, the iconic originator of The Genie in ALADDIN, recently stepped down from the role that earned him a Tony in 2014. The actor will soon be joining the Broadway cast of HAMILTON as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson. It seems, however, that Iglehart was feeling a little nostalgic as he announced on Twitter that he's on stage this weekend as Genie. Time to get some last minute tickets!

Aladdin on Broadway broke the house record at The New Amsterdam Theatre for the week ending January 1, 2017 with a gross of $2,583,344.00 on nine performances, surpassing the previous record of $2,398,010.00. This marks the 12th time the show has broken a New Amsterdam Theatre house record since beginning performances in February 2014.

Does Aladdin on Broadway have a daily lottery?

Price: $35.00, credit card only
Where: lottery.broadwaydirect.com/show/aladdin
When: Lottery entries for each performance will be accepted starting 9AM the day prior to the performance until 3PM the day prior to the performance. At that time, the lottery for that performance will be closed. If you are selected as a winner, you have 60 minutes to pay for your tickets via credit card. 
Limit: Two per customer
Information: Seat locations are assigned based on availability and at the discretion of the Box Office. Please note, lottery seats may be partial view, behind a pipe and/or in a free standing chair.
