New Hampshire magician BJ Hickman will be opening this summer's guest series of performers Thursday night, June 30 at veteran TV host, movie actor, and recording artist John Davidson's New Hampshire performance venue, “Club Sandwich”, in Sandwich, NH.

The American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, the Association for Cultural Equity, and the Charles Joyner Institute for Gullah and African Studies at Coastal Carolina University are pleased to announce that the entirety of John A. Lomax's historic South Carolina recordings—made between 1934 and 1940 under the aegis of the Library of Congress' Archive of Folk Song—are now freely available online via the Lomax Digital Archive.

 Centenary Stage Company and the Hackettstown Rotary are partnering together to present Yellow Brick Road: A Tribute to Elton John on Saturday, May 21 at 8:00 pm. Teatro Paraguas will present Coyote Acid, a one-act play by Santa Fe-based poet John Macker. Rounding out the evening is a reading by actors of Out of The Light: Poems from Prison, a collection of poems chosen by John Macker by renowned poets from around the world written from or about prison.
