Ars Nova, "one of the most adventurous Off-Broadway companies" (New York Times), under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director Jason Eagan and Managing Director Renee Blinkwolt, will host Over/Under Unplugged, a free concert series following select Friday evening performances of Andrew R. Butler's Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of The Future. Concerts will feature performers from The Future and special guests performing unplugged and up close. They'll #playforchange with any donations dropped in their bucket going to select charities including the National Network of Abortion Funds, The Trevor Project, and The National Eating Disorders Association.

Today Portland, OR-based singer-songwriter John Craigie released his a new version of his song “I Wrote Mr. Tambourine Man.” Recorded live at the Greek Theatre with Jack Johnson, the track was praised by Billboard. Proceeds from the song will benefit Johnson's All At Once Non-Profit Partners from the Greek Theatre show, to support healthy watersheds, local food, and environmental projects.

Ma-Yi Theater Company - which has had a breakout season with the award-winning success of the musical KPOP, and recently with Mike Lew's new play TEENAGE DICK (at The Public Theater) - announces its 2018-19 season of new works, according to the company's Producing Artistic Director, Ralph B. Peña.  Among the offerings will be world-premieres of plays that have been created and developed through Ma-Yi's celebrated Writers Lab, which has the distinction of being a primary incubator of new Asian American theater and the largest collective of Asian-American playwrights in the world.

The Church of Modern Love will be directed and choreographed by Jon Martinez (Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The View Upstairs).

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces additional programming and talent for The District of Comedy Festival, a three-day festival which brings together acclaimed stars and rising acts for an all-laughs takeover of the nation's cultural center. The festival, with Presenting Sponsor Capital One, is a part of the Center's Comedy at the Kennedy Center initiative, a signature program focused on elevating comedy as an art form and uniting the local community together through laughter.

After a 100-city tour around the country, singer-songwriters and Broadway actors Eryn Murman and Jason Hite are bringing the music of 5j Barrow back to streets of New York City where their band was born.  On May 19th, at Rockwood Music Hall, Murman (Spring Awakening, Broadway) and Hite (American Psycho) reunite with bandmates bassist Drew Jones and drummer Gerard Canonico (Groundhog Day) for the release of their newest EP "The Journey: Vol. 2."
