Elizabethan Theater lands at iDIOM with a rarely produced 7th century satire full of equal parts chivalry and whimsy in a disorderly, theatrical romp. The Knight of the Burning Pestle, written by Francis Beaumont and adapted for the iDiOM stage by director, Glenn Hergenhahn-Zhao. Dates: February 8th - March 2 at 7:30pm As an acting troupe begins their scheduled performance of a show called “The London Merchant”, two audience members jump onstage and demand their apprentice be written into a new storyline. Chaos follows as the actors attempt to incorporate ever more fanciful suggestions. This rarely performed comedy written in 1607 by a friend of Shakespeare’s is a joyride of a play and a love letter to theatrical invention. Perfect for all audiences. iDiOM's biggest show of the season!
