Theron Brown is bringing his eclectic alchemy of gospel, jazz, and soul to UC San Diego’s Park & Market on Saturday, August 17, at 7 p.m. A Professor of Practice in Jazz Piano at the University of Akron, Brown released his debut album “No Concepts” in 2019 and is currently working on his follow-up, “Spirit Fruit.” Whether as a performer, educator, or festival organizer, Brown views his music as a means to inspire people to live better lives. In addition to touring and teaching, Brown can be found performing regularly at jazz clubs around Northeast Ohio, where he also serves as the founder and artistic director of the Rubber City Jazz & Blues Festival. Joining Brown on stage is Zaire Darden on Drums and Jordan McBride on bass. Tickets for Theron Brown’s show start at $25.
