Blurred at the Edges takes audiences to England of 1887, where Dr. Down, the namesake for Downs Syndrome, prepares for another day at Normansfield, his residential hospital for the feeble-minded. As Down chronicles his medical career specializing in the moral treatment of the mentally disabled, a surprise letter arrives with dire consequences for one of his patients. Although still touchingly affected by his own personal tragedies, Down must persevere in order to effectively fight for his patients wellbeing. The play is presented as part of Broadway Theaters Stage Door Cabaret series running this summer. Audiences will be required to wear a mask before the show, and during the one-hour performance. For more information on Blurred at the Edges, contact Steven Oberman at stevenoberman23@gmail.com.
