How did the leopard get its spots? How did the kangaroo get its bounce? How did the elephant get its trunk?Five of Rudyard Kiplings tales are woven with wit and imagination into a wondrous tale of personal courage, individuality and friendship. Stiles and Drewe bring us an imaginatively empowering piece of theatre set to an eclectic, upbeat score for a song-filled journey through the jungle when everything wasjust so. But when Pau Amma the Crab started playing with the ocean, the lands flooded, putting the animals in danger. Not willing to accept their sad fate, Elephants Child embarks on a journey to overcome the disobedient crab and show us all that just one can make a difference.Presented by SCERAs national award-winning high school company, Acting UP. Directed by Kathryn Laycock Little. Choreography by Brodee Ripple.
