Winner of numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize, ‘OKLAHOMA! ‘ is the classic American musical and first Rodgers & Hammerstein collaboration, having set the standards and rules of musical theatre still being followed today. Set in turn-of-the-century Oklahoma amidst the high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys, ‘OKLAHOMA!’ is the cherished love story of Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl. “Things are changing. The country is changing. Gotta change with it.” says Curly which seem to be the words woven into the fabric of our country, no matter what century. With these words, the stage is set for an American treasure which is one-part love story and one part the retelling of American History and seasoned with some of the most memorable dances and songs, including ‘People Will Say We're in Love’, ‘Oh What a Beautiful Mornin'’ and ‘The Surrey With the Fringe on Top’.
