The Community Players open their 96th season with Kander and Ebb's Tony Award® winning musical, Cabaret. Take your seat at the seedy Kit Kat Klub, where an enigmatic Emcee, cabaret singer Sally Bowles and a raucous ensemble take the stage nightly to tantalize the crowd into leaving their troubles behind. But as life in pre-World War II Germany grows more and more troubled, how long can the show and the decadence surrounding it go on? Based on Christopher Isherwood’s Berlin Stories, Cabaret follows the interlocking stories of the self-destructive Sally, her romance with struggling American writer Cliff Bradshaw, and the denizens of Berlin as they are caught up in the ongoing turmoil of a changing society. Cabaret features well-known classics of the musical stage such as Don't Tell Mama, Maybe This Time and, of course, the show-stopping Cabaret. The cast includes Ed Benjamin III, Steven Dulude, Kay Ferrucci, Bethany Giammarco, Erica Green, Kimberly Harper, Mark Lima, Daniel Martens, Marisa Rebelo, Sandy Remington, Stephanie Rodger, Michael Shallcross, Sue Staniunas, Trish St. Laurent, Andrea Vargas and Austin Venditelli. Cabaret is directed by Paul David Morin,
with musical direction by Ron Procopio and Choreography by Tim Reid. Cabaret will be presented October 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 & 30. Saturdays at 7:30 pm, with Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm.
