21ten, the new community-focused theatre and acting studio co-founded by Ted Rooney and Brooke Totman (housed in the old Shoebox Theatre) is putting on HOLY DAYS, its second production since opening in the summer of last year. Ted is excited that HOLY DAYS is the first production he has directed in Portland, and has chosen this play to honor the playwright and his friend, Sally Nemeth, who passed away this last year.HOLY DAYS is a slice of life play about a family struggling to survive on the Kansas plains during the Dust Bowl era. It opens on Friday, August 12th and runs through Sunday, August 28th. Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees are at 2pm. Ted completed his undergraduate degree in Theatre at Lewis and Clark College and received his MFA in Acting at Temple University. Along with a long-standing career in theatre, he has much experience in the on-camera acting world. He is so excited to be directing in his hometown for the first time.
