First Mothers: The Women Who Raised America’s Presidents explores the influential roles of 15 mothers who shaped the ethical character and philosophies of their presidential sons. Written by L.E. McCullough and directed by Ponny Conemos Jahn, the play features Kaitlin Cliber, Lynne Franks, Kerry McGrath, Stacey Rosleck, and Jen Sinatra as they perform monologues highlighting key moments from these women's lives. The narrative opens with Elizabeth Jackson during the Revolutionary War and concludes with Sarah Lincoln navigating her son's future. This production emphasizes the profound impact these women had on American history while underscoring their belief in moral strength and family values.
