As president of the drama club at Ronald Reagan High School and the star of every school play, Desmond Channing spent most of his short life in the spotlight. But when Evan Harris, a hotshot transfer from New York, challenges his throne, Desmond responds, as any diva would, with lethal force. Now, stuck in the Seventh Circle, Hell’s most squalid cabaret venue, Desmond is forced to relive his disturbing tale of woe. As he presents his one-millionth consecutive show, Desmond performs with a desperate vigor in the hopes that he can prove he’s repented and be freed from this eternal, campy torment.

Matty Malloy
Desmond Channing
Matty Malloy is a Pittsburgh-based comedian, actor, and producer. From little church boy to full-grown homo, he aims to push the gay agenda through comedy. Locally, he has appeared at Arcade Comedy Theater, Bottlerocket Social Hall, Pittsburgh Improv, and has opened for Annie Lederman, Steve Hofstetter, Tina Friml, and Julia Shiplett. Matty was also a semi-finalist in the NYC Queer Comedy Festival, performing at Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Village Comedy Club. He most recently appeared on the theatrical stage in 2019 touring the country with Stars Within Reach Productions. Other previous roles include Carmen Ghia in The Producers, Mike in A Chorus Line, and Gangster #1 in The Drowsy Chaperone. In addition to stand-up, Matty can be found leading comedy tours around the city on The Burgh Bus.
