Phoenix, Ariz. – It’s funnier, faster and full steam ahead at Phoenix Theatre!
In the tradition of gloriously choreographed shows like White Christmas and Mary Poppins, Phoenix Theatre is thrilled to bring you a two-time Tony ® Award winner for Best Revival and tap favorite, Anything Goes! Directed by Associate Artistic Director, Robert Kolby Harper, this toe-tapping stunner of a musical theatre classic has been reimagined to capture the swing and swank of the art deco ‘30s while keeping its comically charming story, sparkling dance numbers, and timeless Cole Porter songbook. Punctuated by a cast full of Valley all-stars including Debby Rosenthal (White Christmas), D. Scott Withers (Gypsy), Jon Gentry (The Producers) and Trisha Hart Ditsworth (Mary Poppins), this new take on the voyage of the S.S. American follows the intertwining stories of Billy Crocker, Reno Sweeney, Lord Evelyn Oakley and Hope Harcourt as they discover who they are and who they are really meant to love. Add in an ensemble of show-stopping tappers and beautifully designed landscapes and you get a night at the theatre that will have you laughing from the opening curtain and ready to set sail with the funniest, flirtiest crew in town!
Anything Goes opens February 25 and runs through March 22. Tickets start at $30 and can be purchased by calling 602.254.2151 or by visiting phoenixtheatre.com.
