Sheela Bringi has enchanted audiences worldwide and worked alongside artists such as Karsh Kale, Dwight Trible, Jai Uttal, and Masood Ali Khan at venues as diverse as House of Blues, Yoshi's in San Francisco, Jivamukti in Munich, Bhakti Fest, Omega Ecstatic Chant, and Bali Spirit Festival. Sheela is a favored collaborator for world-renowned yoga teachers like Shiva Rea and Saul David Raye who use her music to cast rapturous sonic spells over yoga classes around the planet.
Immersed in classical Indian music training all her life, Sheela earned advanced music degrees from Mills College and the California Institute of the Arts where she routinely studied and collaborated with accomplished modern jazz, world and experimental musicians. Having been a featured vocalist and bansuri player on 16 world music albums in the last 6 years, Sheela launches her eagerly anticipated solo career with her album Incantations, a stirring 21st-century sacred music experience.
