Inis Nua Theatre Company presents a bold adaptation of John Millington Synge’s classic work, set in a modern Dublin pub and reimagined through the lens of contemporary issues such as identity and cultural assimilation. The narrative follows Nigerian refugee Christopher Malomo, portrayed by Moboluwai Ademide Akintilo, and his interactions with local patrons, exploring humor amidst danger. Directed by Kathryn MacMillan, the cast includes Taylor Congdon as Pegeen, Michael Stahler as Sean, and Chuk Obasi as Malomo. This adaptation, co-written by Bisi Adigun and Roddy Doyle, promises a fresh take on a timeless story.
