Shades of Bogart, Mitchum and Bacall! We have a thrilling noir piece on our stage. Entertaining and enthralling in the convoluted manner of The Big Sleep, it tells of Sara McKeon, a would-be poet whose lover of a few months has been brutally murdered and who is believed to have had connections with kidnapping and murder. Sara knew little of his background but does not believe it. She begins a gutsy, one-woman quest for the truth, helped but often stymied by the police. Her search brings her to the underbelly of Chicago's underworld as corpses multiply and danger grows. It is doubtful you will guess it's stunning, twisted ending.
