COLLODI: THE MAN BEHIND PINOCCHIO is an original musical written by former BWW Italian Editor Nino Pratticò (book and lyrics) and David Kurkowski (music and lyrics), inspired by the life and works of Carlo Lorenzini as reported in "Collodi e Pinocchio" by Paolo Lorenzini (Collodi Nipote).
The first-ever reading of Collodi: The Man Behind Pinocchio will take place at the Arden Theatre on August 28, 2016 at 7:00 pm.
The reading features actors only — no sets, costumes or dancing. The actors will perform live, but they will still be “on book.” They will sing all the songs and will be accompanied by one of America’s best accompanists, Dean Schneider.
We are very proud of this show and anxious to see it performed for the first time. The plot has family appeal—something for everybody. The music is composed in the best Broadway tradition.
Admission is free, but seating is limited. The first reading is now sold out. If you would like to be placed on the wait list, please send an email to: info@collodithemusical.com
