ABOUT THIS SHOW

The Second Seed project is energized by the following questions: What seeds did our ancestors plant for us, which do we water, & what are we planting for future generations? Part 1 begins with me and investigates my own filters, mythologies and folklore, and those of my family. It’s part musical, part poetry.


ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jenna Sofia trained at LAMDA. She has played theatres from London’s Southwark Playhouse [Rosa/Nellie/Rosemary/Chorus, Summer and Smoke (Off-West End Award nomination, BEST ENSEMBLE)] to LaMaMaETC [Vicky, Girl/Group] and Manderley Bar @Sleep No More [Headliner, Kit Flowers’ McKittrick Follies] in NYC. Onscreen highlights include host/co-writer for BalconyTV Update [BalconyTV Music Networks]; Girl With a Hickey on TruTV’s Hack My Life; cheeky know-it-all Gwen in The Grid [NYCIFF Winner, BEST PILOT]; and croquet-challenged heiress Crickett Sinclair in Sandman Chronicles [NYU]. In February, Jenna and Tony Bordonaro premiered Poisoning the Prophets, their comedic, surreal dance-theatre murder mystery, inspired by honeybee disappearance [MNE’s #EmergingChoreographerSeries2016].
