Art has the power to speak up and speak out, to educate, inspire and insight change. Many artists have a deep-seated conviction to use their creative work as a platform for justice and social change. Whether dealing with racism, sexism, gender bias, mental health issues or economic inequity there is art all around us shouting for social justice and reform to re-build our sense of community. This exhibit features work in all media on several important issues as presented by area artists including: Gabriel Alvarez, Kelly Brown, Angel Cajigas-Arbelo, Deanna Camputaro, Raphael Diaz, Tamara Diaz, Melanie Ducharme, Ricky Gagnon, George Garcia, Arian Garcia Garcia, Susan Garland, Cathren Housley, Monique Rolle-Johnson, Don Mays, Amie Noakes, Joel Rosario-Tapia, Dianne Reilly, Hannah Resseger, Carol Scavotto, Zoey Stites, Simone Spruce, Basma Samira, Jordan Seaberry, Leo Selvaggio, Anthoyn Tomaselli, Christopher Thomas, Mark Wholey.The exhibit will include a special filmed performance of Our Story, Our Song from The Wilbury Theatre Group by Christopher Johnson and Big Lux.
