A holiday spectacular lands on Manhattan's Lower East Side at 107 Suffolk Street. Teatro LATEA is thrilled to present Nutcracker Dream: Inspired by the work of Marius Petipa and Rudolf Nureyev, Nutcracker Dream is a 90-minute family-friendly adaptation of the seasonal favorite created by renowned choreographer Carole Alexis and performed by the professional dancers of the Carole Alexis Ballet Theatre / Ballet des Amériques. Based on Alexandre Dumas' 1844 Histoire d'un casse-noisette, Nutcracker Dream has delighted audiences young and old with its artistry and storytelling. Alexis’ interest in creating Nutcracker Dream is to bring families and friends together around the essence of what the story represents, namely the beautiful balance between Marie’s childhood playfulness and her coming of age amid her circle of family and friends. Make this a memorable date and gather your kin for this unique and magical holiday experience. Showtimes: Location: Tickets: REGULAR tickets are $43, tickets for STUDENTS & SENIORS are $39. VIP tickets are $63 and include VIP seating, a complimentary beverage, a Nutcracker Dream T-shirt and an opportunity to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Cavalier and Marie after the performance and take a photo with them on the Nutcracker Dream set. Ballet des Amériques / Carole Alexis Ballet Theatre is a grantee the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
